'Just let me be DysleXic' - an exhibition based on research by Dr Ruth Gibbons

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month, and as part of that Dr Ruth Gibbons will be exhibiting some of her research on dyslexic thinking at the Franklin Arts Centre in Auckland.

‘Just let me be DysleXic’: An experience and expression of dysleXic thinking explores what it means to think as a dyslexic from a dysleXic perspective. Those of us who attended the 2019 ASAA/NZ Conference in Whāingaroa will recall Dr Gibbons presenting some of the research she has done on this project, which involved collaborative exploration through digital collage.

The exhibition, which is free to attend, opens on Wednesday 14 October and runs until Wednesday 4 November.

Venue: Franklin Arts Centre - Community Gallery
12 Massey Avenue

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 4:30pm
